Tim Ferriss, Why You Should Define Your Fears, not your goals!

Let me be completely honest...

When I read this title, I was skeptical.

It goes against everything I learned on this subject.

But since Tim Ferriss was giving the Ted Talk, I decided to listen.

Read the intro below and watch the video.  It is worth your time.

The hard choices -- what we most fear doing, asking, saying -- are very often exactly what we need to do. How can we overcome self-paralysis and take action? Tim Ferriss encourages us to fully envision and write down our fears in detail, in a simple but powerful exercise he calls "fear-setting." Learn more about how this practice can help you thrive in high-stress environments and separate what you can control from what you cannot.

Truth bombs are dropped all throughout this talk.

For instance...

So the focus is on Fear Setting, which takes on three parts:

Tim Ferriss explains:

Tim Ferriss - What If
Tim Ferriss - Possible Benefit
Tim Ferris - Cost of Inaction

If you follow this process referred to as Fear Setting by Tim Ferriss then you can live and follow the philosophy of stoicism.

In conclusion, I must say, Tim Ferriss brought me over to his way of thinking.  I resisted but when you know you need to do something to improve, this seems to be a great starting point.

I hope you liked this and found value in it like it did for me.

If it did please kindly share.
